“Crashgate” is Nothing New to Formula 1

Where are the F1 team bosses on crashgate?

Ari Vatanen? Jean Todt? Do these guys have duct tape over their mouths? This is the perfect soapbox opportunity, but they don’t want to step on toes. Especially Todt, who has has many bodies in the closet regarding his F1 past with Ferrari. No need to open up a [...]

Chrysler-Fiat Merger to Produce Dodge F1 Team?

I know it sounds crazy. Why would Fiat have TWO teams in F1?

General Motors and Chrysler already said no thanks to F1. And Ford just basically waded in the water with Cosworth. Formula 1 is not big in the United States, so they can better spend their advertising money. But perhaps that is no longer [...]

So basically, if I was heading a new team, [...]

At What Cost?

Here’s some information for you:

Williams, Brawn GP, and Force India are going to volunteer for the budget cap whether it passes or not. It’s not likely they’ll have the funds to pass it anyways, or if they do, only barely. Nothing significant. Not in this economy.
Flavio Briatore will retire at the end of ‘09. Not [...]
