When Nelson Piquet Jr was let go from Renault, a report by Adam Cooper said that Nelson Sr. was reported to be having an interest in taking over the soon to be defunct BMW-Sauber F1 team. Now everyone may not take this report seriously. I mean c’mon, your son got let go by a team, [...] *gasp* That’s right. You heard me. The manufacturers SHOULD LEAVE Formula 1. Let’s see, ever since Toyota, Honda, BMW, and Renault we have seen costs go through the roof. A top flight program these days cost $200-$300 million a year. Steve Matchett was acting like if the manufacturers left, it would be a doomsday scenario. Talk about a [...] Here’s some information for you: Williams, Brawn GP, and Force India are going to volunteer for the budget cap whether it passes or not. It’s not likely they’ll have the funds to pass it anyways, or if they do, only barely. Nothing significant. Not in this economy. |
